It'll grow back, right?

A couple of days ago, our weekly angel Tante Gabi graciously brought me a copy of Haircutting For Dummies. I wish I could say that I read it before impulsively deciding to cut Jude's overgrown hair this morning, but alas—I'm afraid the results tell another story:

Sorry, buddy!

The poor kid was a model client, but his hair is just so much thinner (and, therefore, much less forgiving) than Isaac's. At least the back looks okay:

I'm thinking clippers would help a lot. Anyone know where I can find some super-quiet ones that won't freak out my boys?

I'm impressed that you even tried. I really don't think it looks so bad and I bet you will be surprised who quickly it grows back!! Good luck with perfecting this skill. Seriously, I'm impressed!

I just did the same thing to my son! Only his makes him look like an Amish boy with a mullet. :/
We have a Wahls brand clippers from Wmart. They are nice. Not quiet but not scare you to death loud either.

A friend of ours let her boys hold the clippers, turn them off and on, hold them up to their ears and listen to them...all sorts of things...so they weren't afraid of them the first time she actually put it to their heads to cut their hair. Worth a try?

LOVE your blog!

At the kids barber we take nathan to they call them the ticklers. That surprisingly helped.

Do you know the difference between a good haircut and a bad one? Two weeks! :-)

Doesn't look bad at all...and yes, it grows quickly.
Here's a bad haircut story for you. When my dad was young my grandpa used to give him and his two brothers haircuts. The old style slippers had guards that didn't stay on super well. He was cutting along and bzzzz, the guard fell off and he essentially had buzz cut one section. So, that summer the three boys had sported buzz cuts compliments of dear old dad.
By the way, we have a Wahl too, the Clip and Trim, and it's not very loud at all.

Thanks for the clipper advice, guys ... I will definitely check into Wahls brand, and I will most certainly try calling them "ticklers," ha!

P.S. LOL @ Sarah!! :)
