In honor of Peruvian independence day—and by special request from Tía Harriet—I give you the Fab Four's first sips of Inca Kola (the national soft drink of Peru):
Too bad the kids long ago outgrew their Inca Kola shirts from Bisabuelo (I guess we know what the abuelitos need to bring back from their next trip to the motherland). Thanks for the 2-liter, Harriet!

We always bring some back when we travel to Peru....Timmy loves the stuff. I think it tastes like bubble gum.
It's fun to introduce cultural stuff to our little ones, isn't it!
Jude's response was definitely my favorite, "Wow..." haha! What does it taste like??
Jewel: It's very sweet ... people say bubblegum, but it's more flowery to me. I love it. :)
Julie: Yes, and it's especially fun when they like it! :)
I impressed they all tried it! My three are not as "adventurous" and anything that color would have gotten me a big, fat, NO!
Ted and Suzy... I have been following this blog for a very long time, but I've never left a comment... that's just wrong, so here we go: ;->
The two of you have been taking on the amaizing task of parenting for not only one child, but four... at the same time!!!
You seem so loving, caring, aware of the childrens needs and very very calm.
I have four children myself, but luckely for me, they came one at the time ;-)
I'm a singel mom, so some days it's a struggle... but I find so much inspiration in your blog on have to manage the chaos of many children, and for that I thank you!
I have just started my own blog, and I hope that there will be someone out there finding comfort in my blog about my everyday life, just like I have found it here!
As you might have guessed, english is not my primary language, so I hope that my comment will be understandable.
Kind regards

Very cute! Jude's response really was funny. It was the kind of response you get from an adult getting a gift they either didn't expect or don't like. :)
