They say that time heals all wounds, and I suppose two months was just about enough for us to forget how difficult the first round of potty training was. So today we finally took the plunge (no pun intended) and gave Jude his turn on the potty!
Because he's been showing signs of readiness for a while now, I was pretty sure he'd do well. I was completely unprepared, however, for just how ready he was to pichà in the potty: All we really had to do was put him in big boy underwear and let him see Lucy get an M&M as a reward for using the potty—after that, all he wanted to do was "potty 'gin!" He was so excited about using the potty that he did not have even one accident all day!
We'll see how the next few days go, but really, we couldn't have asked for a better start to round 2 of potty training. If Jude can keep this up, it's two down, two to go—wish us luck!
Wow- Way to go Jude! I'm so jealous-- you're almost half way there!! Go Fab Four!!!
ReplyDeletebtw-- Great new header- I love that picture of Dahlia.
Great news!
ReplyDeletefabulous! Although a little bit jealous.
ReplyDeleteThat is fantastic! Yay Jude! Hug him for me, please.
ReplyDelete@Beth: Thanks! I had fun making the new banner ... they change so quickly that the other one was already looking really outdated to me. :)
ReplyDelete@Holly: I will!! Miss you guys!
Yay, Jude! He is so stinkin' cute! Sounds like round two is a little easier? Are you taking the same approach with Jude?
ReplyDeleteRound 2 is definitely easier, although on Day 3 he started getting lazy. :) We aren't using the same approach ... it's kind of a hybrid? A little more relaxed than last time. :)
ReplyDeleteAw what a cutie! Way to go Jude!! That is SO awesome. I have to say when I saw the name Jude and potty-training in the same post it made me feel like time fast-forwarded to me potty-training our Jude and I just about had a heart attack. =) You're amazing for handling this so well.
ReplyDeleteWow way to go Judie!!! Look at that concentration on his face! haha
