Scary toy story

Nothing's creepier than standing at the sink, washing dishes in the blessed silence of quadruplet naptime, and suddenly hearing this:

Methinks it's time for this toy to R.I.P.—or I might just die of a heart attack when it goes off in the middle of the night!

  1. HA! I had the same similar experience a couple of weeks ago. My triplets were asleep and this toy kept going off. The batteries were on their way out and the thing wouldn't be quiet!! I threw the batteries away and now it's just a quiet toy--no complaints here!

  2. Yes, we have a haunted toy too...I just have to remember to turn it off otherwise it will play and play, and play the songs over and over!

  3. So random, right? Yes, those toys are not meant to survive.

Funny though from this side of the computer. =)

Hope you are enjoying a QUIET peaceful uninterrupted naptime today!

  4. Yes, the kids slept great today ... and Isaac slept 3 hours, longer than anyone else, which is unheard of. A true gift from heaven! :)

  5. It is always funny after the fact, but at that moment you freeze. Don't you think it is funny all us Mom's have had similar situations with toys. Kind-of scary! Makes you think of Toy Story.

  6. We had an exersaucer that used to play music on its own! Scared the daylights out of me!

  8. Suzy, maybe it's our shared love of scary/horror movies, but I'm with you. I'm just not down with hearing that in the dead of night (or nap time, in this case!). WAY CREEPY!!! :)

  9. Very funny!! Michael was obsessed with Barney when he was little. He had a Barney doll that talked when you pushed it's hand. He walked by it one day, as it sat on a shelf. As he walked by, it talked, out of nowhere!!! He wouldn't touch it after that so I had to give it away!! LOL! Hind-sight says it probably just needed a new set of batteries, but he was having no part of it!! LOL
